Commenting

L.I:To comment on someones blog post.
I went on Afatia's blog post and I commented on it about how interesting it was. I learnt how to comment on someones blog post. I learned it by going on her blog and reading her work and commenting on it and saying how I like it.

This week for cybersmart we did media. We had to make a copy of the media slide. After that we had to make a word cloud. We had to write good word about your self for example positive. 

Snag Golf

Kiwi Sport
This week for kiwi sport we did snag golf. First we had to get in groups of 3's. After that one person in your group had to be back stop and one of the other people had to wait for their turn and the other person had to try and get the ball on the the target. If you do get the ball on the target then you have to shout out snag and you get one point for your team. There are 3 balls so that means that you get 3 turns of rolling the ball. When you finish you have to switch. The person that was the back stop has to go and wait until their turn. The person that was trying to hit the target has to be the back stop. The person that was waiting in line has to have a go at hitting the target. 

This VS That




This week for inquiry we did this VS that. First we had to get into partners and then one of us had to make a copy of the This VS That. For the first one we had to Put in what year was the panmure bridge and the Auckland Barbour bridge built. The second one that we had to do is to find out what length, height, span and width the panmure bridge and the Auckland Barbour bridge is. After we do that we had to find how much the panmure bridge and the Auckland Barbour bridge cost. For the other one we had to find out what materials the panmure bridge and the Auckland Barbour bridge has to build it. And for the last one we had to say what type of bridge it is.

Setting Planner


L.I:To plan a narrative.
This week for writing we had to plan a narrative. First we had to make a copy of the slide for making a plan for our setting. There is write down where is the haunted house, what is it like inside the haunted house, when did your characters go to the haunted house, what does it feel like to be inside the haunted house, what does it look like inside the haunted house and other things. My setting is a haunted house.

Questioning


L.I:To find different kind of questions. First we got a two sheets of paper 1 sheet of paper had 12 QAR questions. The other sheet of paper that We had to get was the Questions sheet of paper. We had to cut out the QAR questions and then we had to glue it on the question paper.

L.I:To learn how to achieve goals.
This week for kiwi can we are learning about goal settings.The theme was resilience and our topic was goal settings. We talked about why is it so important to celebrate your goals? Because you have always try hard in your life to achieve that goal and you never gave up and we keep trying no matter what.

Inquiry


L.I:To find images of the panmure bridge.
Today for inquiry we had to find different kind of images of panmure bridge. We had to get in groups of 3's. The people that I worked with was Alayah and Miiana.

Measuring


L.I:To compare and measure areas of surfaces by counting unit squares.
This week we are learning how to measure the area of some rectangles by using unit squares. We had to measure areas of rectangle. The rectangles that we had to measure is on a sheet of paper. 

Narritive


L.I:To plan a narrative.
This week for writing we had to plan a narrative. Then we had to make a copy of the planning slide. We had to pick one of our characters. On the first slide we had to describe what kind of person is the character and how they behave. On the second slide we had to describe what they wear. My character is a superhero her name is Electric woman. 

Questions

L.I:To predict using pictures and tittles.
This week for reading we had to do 12 questions 4 of them was when we had to do it as a group. Each reading group had a book to read. We had to write QAR questions about the book that we read.After we have finished we had to show it to the teacher before blogging it to make sure if it is correct or not.

Swimming

L.I:To learn how to swim and to keep yourselves and other safe in water.   
Today for kiwi sport we had swimming. We had to got into the same places that we were in. If we were at the end then we had to go to that place or if you were at the begging or in the middle then you have to go there. We learnt how to swim and learn different types of skills. The swimming teacher that I was with is Cameron. First Cameron would show us what to do and then we had to do it one by one. We are learning this because we need to keep safe around water and we should know how to swim.
If we are doing good then we have to move to the other side if the laddie says for you to go to the next one. We had to practise our swimming and try to get better at swimming and keep safe. Some of the skill that we learnt was when we had to go down and then back up and we keep on doing it until we get to the other plate form. The next skill that we did was when we had to float on your back and then when you slow down you have to kick your feet so you can get down to the other plate form. The other skill that we had to do was when we had to float on our tummy and if we slow down then we will have to kick our feet but we had to take a breath.

Kiwi Can































The them for kiwi can is resilience. 
The topic for kiwi can is goal setting.
The first game that we played is called snatch. We had to put a tag inside our pockets and then we had to try and pull the tag out of other people's pockets. If someone came to get your tag we could protect it fro other people.The last person that had their tag still inside their pockets is the winner. The second game that we played is called ball trouble. First we had to find a partner. Then we had to get in lines. Mr Matt or Miss Lily Had to say where to put the ball and we had to take the ball to the other side of the room and back. We had to get in two lines. Who ever wines gets a point for their team. 

Media

Today for cybersmart we did media. Media is a construction. Construction means making something. We had to watch 2 videos and one of the kiwi kids new site. One of them was a wherehouse ad The other one was a video of the incredible 2 trailer. We had to make a copy of the Media construction slide. The first thing that we had t do on the slide was to take two photos of ourselves. The other thing that we had to do was get a school image from either your drive or google.

First we had to pair up with someone from your group and write question about the book on a wite board. Then we had to make a copy of the QAR template.

This week for writing we had to plan a narrative. First we had to plan it as a group and then make a copy and write your own narrative. After we finished writing our narrative and then check if it make scenes. We had to show it to our teacher before we had to blog it.

Mesurement

This week for maths we had to measure an object with a ruler and a materiel. We had to find things that we could mesuer and, We had to find 10 things and find thing that are Non standard measurement and  a a standard measurement and when we find thing like things and this is my what I put every thing that I measure on to the google sheet.

What is Media


Today for cybersmart we learned about media. we had to find out what media is. The first thing that we had to do was get in a group of three or two. The people that I worked with was Lane and Alayah. One person in each group had to make a copy of the slide that Mr Wong shared to LS1. We had to watch a video from on the slide and then write staff about the video. We had to write information about what media is.

Swimming

Swimming
Today LS1 and room 5 went to the panmure swimming pools. We learnt how to swim. There was 3 swimming teachers The swimming teacher that I was with is James. We had to do different types of swimming. We had to learn how to swim because we had to keep ourselves safe when we go into water. James had to throw a toy inside the pool and we had to get the toy that James throw. At the end we had to throw the toy inside the pool 2 times and we had to get it. James tough us some skill's of how to swim. The first thing that we had to do was to check if the water was deep or not. we had to get of the wall really safely. James told us to do any type of swimming skill that we new. We had to stand up on the wall and take a big step in side and fall like a pencil.

Duffy Theartre


Duffy Theartre

On Monday we had a visitor there name is Duffy, Shontel and Jahney. The first game that we played was called Duffy say’s. After that Duffy performed they performed about bullying. Duffy heard someone crying and tried to find out who was crying. The person that was crying was jahney because she was getting bullied from Shontell. Shontell was mean to Jahney and always called her names. Duffy had a soccer game but he decided to stay with Jahney because of how she was getting bullied.Jahney had been late to school every day. Duffy gave Jahney a book named The Halloween bully. When Jahney read the book she changed. she wouldn’t go to school late she would be earlier than Shontel. Jahney gives the book to Shontel. Shontell read’s the book that Jahney gave.At the end Duffy sticked up for his friend and the bully stopped bullying and became friend with all of them ,Shontell then release that she was being the bully and she didn’t know how Jahney felt. Shontell then says sorry about what she has done to Jahney.

Today for inquiry we did a inquiry quiz. We had to do 3 quiz. The first quiz that we had was a drawing quiz. The second quiz that we had was a sculpturing quiz. The last quiz that we had was a questioning quiz. We had six rounds for each quiz. The group that gets the most points get's chocolate. The group that won was The Wolves.

Matariki celebration













On Wednesday Panmure bridge school had a Matariki celebration. Everyone had to go to near the junior play ground.We had people that were performing the people that had to perform is the kapa-haka, pacifica, Junior kapa haka, ukulele and the drum's.  The first group that performed was the senior kapa haka then the drum's after them it was the junior kapa haka newt was the ukulele group, the the pacifica went last.When the people finished performing we had to line up to get some sausages. We had fun, the people that performed did really good.

Kiwi Can















The first game that we played cone snatcher. we had to get a partner and then Miss lily would put a cone in between your buddies next give us a word to get the cone first who ever got the cone had to get another partner. If their is 3 people left then they all have to challenge each other. Who ever is the last person wins. The second game that we played is called hand soccer. we had to get in 2 groups next we had to number ourselves. Miss Lily had to call out a number and if your number got called out then you had to go and touch the cone and try and get a point for your team. We had to use only one hand to play hand soccer and we are not allowed to kick the ball with our feet.

the game that we played is called ripa rugby. We had to get in 4 groups and then we had to wear belts with rip's on them and their would be 1 team challenging another. 1 team had to start with the ball and try to get them a score for their team. The other team had to try and get their rips of so that they won't get a point for their team. We had to back pass the ball to your team mate if you do a forward pass then you have to pass the ball to the other team.

Today for Maori we had to go on you tube and learn how to make a weave fish. The first thing that we did was read the story of the wellington taniwha then we had to go and on google maps and find 4 places in the story which was te awa-kairangi-hutt river, matui island-soms island, whanganui a tara air port. The name of the book that we read was called the taniwha of wellington harbor.

Today for Maori we talked about Matariki. Maori new year is on Friday the 15th of June which means that Matariki is starting. Our Maori teacher's name is Miss Whea Odie. Miss Whea Odie gave us a word search to do and we had to do our name, at the back we had to write the Matariki song.

Maori



















This week for Maori we made a slide presentation. We had to talk about ourselves, who is in our family, were you live and what school you go to. The other thing that we did for Maori was faces. We had draw faces the faces that we had to draw was a cold face, a happy face, angry face and a sweaty face. We had to write at the bottom kei te pai, kei te makariri, kei te riri and kei te wera. Kei te pai means happy, kei te makariri means cold, kei te rir means angry and kei te wera means hot. we had to write happy, cold, angry and hot in Maori.
