Mixed Addition and Subtraction word problems
Cut and paste the following problems into the correct table. Answer the problems.
- A cook fed a total of 21 people. The cook fed 4 children. How many adults did the cook feed?.4+17=21
- A banana farm received a total of 19 millimetres of rain in March and April. If 4 millimetres of rain fell on the farm in March, how many millimetres of rain fell on the farm in April?.15+4=19.
- A school book fair sold 31 chapter books and 7 picture books. How many books were sold in all?.31+7=38.
- Priya has 10 marbles in her collection. If she gives 6 marbles to her best friend, how many marbles will she have left?.10-6=4
- Alyssa picked 23 limes and Nancy picked 38 limes from the lime tree. How many limes were picked in total?.50+11=61
- After a forest fire, there are 18 old trees, plus 3 baby trees called saplings. How many trees are there overall?.18+3-21
- There are 7 pencils in the drawer. Tim took 2 pencils out of the drawer. How many pencils are there now?.7-2=5.
- Benny had 6 $1 coins in his coin pouch. His sister borrowed 2 of his $1 coins. How many coins does Benny have now?.6-2=4
- Jared is reading a book that has a total of 89 pages. So far, he has read 9 pages. How many pages does Jared have left to read?9+80=89
- Patrick is building a cabinet. He needs 22 two-and-a-half-centimetre bolts and 5 two-centimetre bolts. How many bolts in all does Patrick need?22+5=27

How did you learn?:I learnt by making a copy of mixed addition and subtraction word problem and reading the question and changing the word question into a math's question .
